TheFlyingCarpet is ready for a new trip.
We start with a track of Carlos Santana, “Canto de los flores“ from his 74's LP Borboletta, and we follow with more Latin American influences: ”Sonido Amazonico" by Chicha Libre. More from the south of the Americas: Quantic and His Combo Barbaro with “ Mas Pan”. Then, a quick passage to Chicago, with Hypnotic Brass Ensemble (with Malcom Catto on drums) and the track “Alyo“.
Next stop Switzerland, to discover the first opus of a band strongly influenced by Ethiopian music: Imperial Tiger orchestra. We will listen two tracks, “Bati” and "Djemeregne”. Some afrojazz, with Edja Kungali's “Jungle Dance“, and then some funk with The Nite-Liters's “Con-Funk-Shun“ and Bohannon's “The Groove I Feel“.
For the landing, more funk vibes: Fire with his classic “Deeper in Love“ in a Kenny Dope Edit.
