This week, the captain is missing so the sexy pilot is back and Anne is taking you to the 70s, presenting the Pulp Fusion compilations (Harmless record label). The first compilation we listen to is the 3rd album of the series: Revenge of the ghetto grooves with the Theme song from Black Belt Jones (a blaxploitation film from 1974, featured in the 2004 documentary - the 50 Worst Movies Ever Made) by Dennis Coffey (bad film, great soundtrack!). Then we listen to another Theme song by Wood, Brass & Steel and to Evolution by Magnum, both tracks from the 5th compilation: Magnum. The next stop is with George Benson and the tune Dance from the LP: The harder they come, followed by The Fabulous Counts and they hit song Dirty Red. We then move on to the Evolution compilation with Hal Singer´s Malcom X tune, Sound Experience´s Boogie
Woogie and Lonnie Liston Smith & The Cosmic Echoes´ Cosmic Funk. After that we listen to Afro Strut by The Nite-Liters, Your Mama wants ya back by Betty Davis and Miss Funky Fox by Exit 9, all taken from the 4th compilation: Fully Loaded. We finish the trip with the track When She Made me promise by The
Beginning of the End from the compilation The harder they come. I hope you enjoyed the trip and you´ll be back next week for more musical adventures on the flying carpet! Hasta pronto!
