TheFlyingCarpet start a new excursion with Mulatu Astatke & the Heliocentrics, interpretating “Addis Black Widow” from the last LP Inspiration Information. Second stop in Sweden, where we find the group Music Is The Weapon with the track “G.F.”.
After that, we meet again the voice and the word of Camille Yarbrough in a deep and hypnotic interpretation of “All Hid”. Next stop Amsterdam, where the Aouth-African combo Jabula recorder the LP Africa Awake where are presents some mebers of Cymande; from this album we listen the track “Thunder“.
And logically, after that, why not listening one of our alltime favourite band: Cymande playing “Trevorgus“ from Second Time Round, edited by Janus in 1973. More caribbean groove with The Invaders from Bermuda Island. Don't be afraid, the carpet have no problem of magnetism or strange attractions to earth. We have only the pleasure to listen “Bossa Blue“ from Spacing Out, the only LP of the band edited in 1970 by Duane Records.
After the caribbean, a quick trip to the north. First to UK, rendez-vous with Bonobo
and “Between the lines (nostalgia 77 Remix)“, and after to Detroit, where Moodymann create “When she“ from his darksouljazzy 12" Black Mahogani II.
