We start with a gift for the 30rd edition: the voice of Camille Yarbrough in a song know mainly for a later version; this is the good one of "Take yo prise".
Next stop: more voices and more words: not only a musican, not only a poet, not only a performer: a very unconnventional man, Anthony Joseph and the Spasm Band interpretating “Vero“.
More pleasure for the 70's black music movement: we stay in the States with Bohannon, short but deep: “ the stop and go” from the homonimous LP.
More 70's, more states: BT Express, “Energy to Burn“.
We're well in the '70, but a bit of “saudade“ for Africa: the carpet directed to South Africa, mister Dick Khoza with a monster track, "African Jive".
A short mouvement to the present: the Swedish combo Music is the Weapon with “Alla Maste Dansa“. From the scholar, to the master. He can't be absent from the flight: Fela Anikupalo Kuti starred by The Africa 70 band and with the presence of a voice of a strong influence, Sandra Akanke Isidore. 15 minutes of inspired insanity: floating “Upside Down“.
Finally, another legend of african music. A living legend. Is an honour to end the 30rd flight with the sax of Mulatu Astatke accopanied by the Heliocentrics : an ethiopian-free-hypnotic-jazz-pleasure: Cha Cha.
Enjoy the flight.
