TheFlyingCarpet is back with a surprise.
Today we take on board with us Geoff Wilkinson, the man behind Us3.Be prepared for a very interesting excursion in music. As usual.
We start the flight with Donald Byrd's "The Little Rasti" (excerpt) from LP Ethipian Knights of 1971 and we follow with Grandmaster Flash and the hyper classic "The Message".
We start the US3 trayectory with CAntaloop (Flip Fantasia), form '93 1st LP Hand On The Torch and we discover some influences with Stetsasonic's "Talk in' All That Jazz" from 1988. Back again with US3 songs: "Come On Everybody (Get Down)", Featuring D-Lon, from 2nd LP Broadway & 52nd, of 1997; "I Don't Care", from Say What, album of 2007.
Ready to discover the last work Stop. Think. Run. edited this year. We start with "From The Streets", ft. Sene) and we continue with "I Let 'Em Know", ft. Brook Yung.
Geoff discover us a New Orleans jazzman, Christian Scott with the deeply dark track "Dialect" from 2007's LP Anthem.
Finally, we move the carpet through the time, and we go to New York City in 1957, to listen Art Blakey & the Jazz Messengers playing "Evans".
Board on the carpet and enjoy the flight.
