TheFlyingCarpet is ready to start a new trip. This week the captain is alone on board, only accompanied by music. We strat the trip from Greece, with Thanassis Papakonstantinou's "S'afino gia", From Agripnia LP. Next stop, Chicago, where we listen the Hypnotic Brass Ensemble, with "Jupiter", from their 2005's album Hypnotic/Green. We stay in the US, where we discover Ganimian and his Oriental Music, with "Come With Me to the Casbah", from 1959's homonimous LP. In the Casbah we find Randy Weston, playing "In Memory of", from the '63's LP Highlife, Music From the New African Nations. Quick stop to Berlin, where we continue to discover 4th Dimension, from Jimi Tenor & Kabu Kabu; the song we listen today is "Mystery Spot". From Europe to West Africa: FRed Fischer Atolobor play "W.T.F.S.", from Afrobeat Nirvana compilation of Vampisoul records.
We come back to the US, first stop in 1969, with Pucho & his Latin Soul Brothers playing "Got Myself a Good Man"; second stop in 1977 with Pat Lundy's version of "Work Song". We end th show with the voice of Carmen McRae, interpreting the Stevie Wonder's classic "You Are the Sunshine of my Life".
Enjoy the flight and come back on the carpet the next week!
