TheFlyingCarpet is back. We start the Trip from Zambia, with Chris Zebby Tembo & Ngozi Family playing “My Ancestors“. We move to Cotonou, Benin, where we meet again the T.P. Orchestre Poly-Rythmo with "Aihe Ni Kpe We", and we flight right to Nigeria, with The Semi Colon, playing "Nekwaha semi colon".
We leave Africa and we move to Paris, to meet the Lafayette Afro-Rock Band with "Conga", and to Chicago, where the Chicago Afrobeat Project present "Tibet On It" recorded live in 2005. We make a fast stop with Marlena Shaw and his "Liberation Conservation", and we go to find Philip Cohran & The Artistic Heritage Ensemblewith the faboulous song "Unity". We finish with a strong jazz mood, first with the Ethiopian Tesfa Maryam Kidané and "Heywèté", from the wonderful saga of Les Ethiopiques, and finally with Miles Davis and his "Gènérique" of the Luis Malle's film "Ascenseur pour l'échafaud". Enjoy and come back soon on the carpet.
